But for the Grace of God has been reprinted and is now available for purchase.
This exposition and study of the Canons of Dort not only acquaints the reader with the Canons, but also contributes to an understanding of church history and of God's grace. At the crossroads of Reformational history, the Synod of Dort met to refute five serious errors propagated by proponents of the teachings of Jacob Arminius. The Synod responded to these Arminian errors with five corresponding points of Reformed doctrine: unconditional election, limited atonement, total depravity, irresistible grace, and the perseverance of the saints. An increased understanding of the gracious character of God reflected in the Canons will equip the reader to live a grateful life of service and share the good news: "but for the grace of God."
